Process
Let's have a look at the work process: how do you have to proceed?
1. first of all, students in each group have to read the summary concerning their topic: this is a first basis to start working at the topic.
2. then, each group will have to start surfing in the websites listed in the webpage "resources"; read any relevant information carefully and start saving in archives the paragraphs you think might be useful for your research; pay attention while saving documents: it is important to save them in different folders, using suitable titles, so that you can retrieve information easily when you need to. Some links deal with the same topic: have a look at all of them, each webpage will give some useful information.
You can also look for some more websites if you feel some aspects are missing. Remember to make notes in your group diary and in your surfing archive, keeping memory of the websites you used for your research (i.e. which parts of the article);
3. when you have finished surfing and reading, you should talk to your group partners in the forum or in the chatroom to decide together how you want to buid up your document (decide together how many paragraphs, which themes you want to write and state clearly "who" has to write "what");
4. start writing; concentrate also on graphics and images, maps, etc.; decide together which font, etc. you want to use; put notes in your document, indicating the URL of the websites used in each paragraph; at the end of your document remember also to write a list of all websites used;
5. save the final document on the teacher's computer;
6. start preparing power point slides for the lesson you have to hold in front of your your schoolmates - decide who of you 6 will have to explain the different parts of the presentation;
7. prepare the lesson of your group (you should rehears a lot and check you are able to hold your lesson in about 40 minutes; please see that each member speaks for about 7-8 minutes);
8. plan with your teacher the date of your group lesson;
9. relax and celebrate your success!
The whole work should require about 16 hours:
3 hours surfing + information selection + reading and translating
3 hours discussion in the etwinning forum (also research planning)
3 hours to write your research (document)
2 hours to prepare power point slides
4 hours for your lesson to the class (1 hour for each group)
1 hour for the final test (about all 4 topics, same test for the whole class)
Vediamo adesso come deve svolgersi il lavoro.
1. per prima cosa ogni gruppo dovrà leggere il testo introduttivo di sintesi che offre un quadro generale del tema del gruppo e che può essere una base di conoscenza per orientarsi nella ricerca
2. poi si dovrà iniziare la navigazione tra i siti indicati nelle vostre risorse (cioè nella vostra sitografia), leggere le informazioni e cominciare ad archiviare brani interessanti o prendere appunti sui diversi sottoargomenti, avendo cura di archiviare i dati in cartelle diverse con titoli precisi in modo da poterli poi ritrovare rapidamente.
Alcuni link trattano lo stesso argomento ma sono stati scelti perchè ciascuno fornisce informazioni aggiuntive rispetto all'altro.
Potete anche cercare ulteriori siti se vi sembra ci siano alcuni aspetti non chiari nel vostro discorso. In questo caso annotate sul diario di bordo le chiavi di ricerca utilizzate e i siti selezionati come utili
3. una volta conclusa la navigazione, analizzare il materiale raccolto e decidere cosa usare e come progettare la propria ricerca (tesina) scritta
4. scrivere la propria ricerca e curarne grafica e impaginazione (immagini comprese, che possono essere figure, mappe, grafici ecc)
Se citate integralmente brani da un sito dovete mettere in nota l'URL del sito stesso. Alla fine del lavoro segnate comunque l'URL dei siti che avete consultato per realizzare la ricerca (anche se non ne avete tratto citazioni testuali)
5. salvare il prodotto finito sul server docente
6. preparare le slides per la lezione alla classe
7. preparare la lezione (provando molto, in modo che la durata sia di 40 minuti) in modo che ciascun membro del gruppo esponga una parte dei contenuti, con l'ausilio delle slides (circa 7 minuti a persona)
8. esporre la lezione alla classe
9. riposare e festeggiare il successo
Questo lavoro deve avere una durata complessiva di 16 ore con la seguente ripartizione:
3 ore di navigazione/selezione e salvataggio informazioni / comprensione / traduzione
3 ore di discussione e confronto nel forum tematico e-twinning
3 ore di stesura della ricerca
2 ore di preparazione slides
4 ore per le lezioni dei gruppi
1 ora per il test finale che riguarderà, per tutti, il lavoro di tutti i gruppi
